After building my cat-cave (outdoor cat shelter) I wasn’t sure if I actually succeeded in having an overnight guest, since neither me or Peter (my husband), saw any of our outdoor cat friends around.
As a reminder to readers – about a week and a half ago I made an outdoor cat shelter for a feral cat that lives in the neighborhood. With the freezing temps, I couldn’t just let her stay outside without shelter.. and since we already have a cat, who also happens to hate cats, we can’t keep her.
Every day for the last five days I have been checking for any signs of a visitor, and finally yesterday we saw paw-prints in the snow leading towards the cat food and our cat shelter! Woohoo!
Of course we didn’t see any cats go into the cat shelter yet, because the cats usually show up at night, but I think this is progress. 🙂
